Foundational scripture from Joshua 1:10-18
Loyalty illustrates difference between cat and dogs. Dogs are loyal pets and comes to you even when you don’t call them.
Cats on the other hand are different breed and may not come to you until there is food.
Lord is calling us to “courageous loyalty” and without wondering what is in it for us or the catch.
Courageous loyalty to God is not about cats attitude responding only when there is something in it for us or perhaps when we are in mess but about unconditional loyalty to be at His beck and call of Almighty irrespective of our circumstance.
As they prepared to enter the promise land some are call to special loyalty to requires to leave something behind.
Loyalty that loves-sometimes we feel that we need to make a choice between God and other things such as work or other things in the world.
Loyalty that loves ensure that if you put God first, everything else in your life will thrive including your family and work contrary to our fears of getting involve in ministry.
All the time recalibrate and rethink, and adjust as appropriate instead of feeling guilty. Loyalty to God is not something that is time based or something you turn on and off.
Loyalty that leads- you have arrived late, now get to the front seat. God wants all us to lead in some form or shape.
Being a leader in the body of Christ does not give us a special privilege but a special responsibility.
The more established you are, the more you need to help others. Just like climbing the hill, you extend your hand to help those downhill below you. You have not arrived until you have all arrived, look out for who else you can help.
Loyalty that lasts-Caleb Joshua 14
Where is your strength? Are you looking for next challenge? Or do you feel your time is over? We should always ask what is next God, as long as we are capable and breath in us.
There many ways we can be “Caleb” who demonstrated the loyalty that lasts.
Jesus is our Joshua and He is not asking you to do something he has not done himself. The good thing or the fact is He strengths you as well and you are never alone.
There are costs and trials along the way, but these are not your issue but Lord issue to take care off. So you are a winner all the way.
Why don’t you ask the Lord to help you be loyal to Him today and always?
